Gateway Kids Update

Mega Camp was so amazing! We had nearly 400 kids on our campus hearing about how God has rescued them. We had 10 Exploration Stations where kids were able to make or create something. We also had kids experiment using science as they learned about our incredible God who created it all. From cooking to derby cars, to field day to woodworking, our kids and leaders had a blast. Our volunteers were outstanding and poured into the kids each day. During Imagination Station time, the leaders would reinforce the lesson and main point using gadgets and fun activities. And the kids left each day with little trinkets to help them remember how God rescues them. We gave an invitation on Thursday and God moved in a mighty way. We had 135 life decisions and some of those kids were baptized at the Lake on July 1st. How exciting! We are praising God for all He has done and what He will continue to do in the hearts of these kids.

Will you pray as we gear up for Ultimate Kid’s Camp? We leave on July 30th to head to Fayetteville, NC to Camp Dixie. We are renting the camp and taking our background checked volunteers so we can invest in the lives of our own kids and build relationships with them. Our theme this year is Reckless Love. We will be talking about how God loves us and how He longs for a relationship with us. We are going to have an incredible time as we swim, blob, kayak, play field games, dome games, experience Organized Mass Chaos, The Amazing Race and worshipful chapel times led by our Student Ministry band and our Student Pastor Brandon Yopp.

Our prayer is that we will all come back with a deeper, more personal relationship with our God who pursues us with abandon.
