Good News After School
More than 50 million children across America have headed back to school. Many of them don’t attend church of any kind. Through Good News Clubs, the Gospel is shared with more than 180,000 boys and girls in more than 4,500 schools across America. Over the years, thousands of students have received Christ as their Savior through Good News Club.
Gateway is privileged to sponsor four, after school Good News Clubs in our area. Each week volunteers present an exciting Bible lesson along with songs, Scripture memory verse, a missions story, and review games or other activities focused on the lesson’s theme.
In May, one of the schools named Gateway’s Good News Club as the Volunteer Group of the Year for the 2017-2018 school year. Three years ago, another school gave our Good News Club the same honor. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve students in our community.
Thank you to Nancy and Mark Counts for leading our Good News Clubs, and thank you to the many volunteers who serve alongside them.
